Title | Girl Geek Dinner |
Abstract | Our friends at Girl Geek Dinners Wellington have a tradition of running a networking event for women in tech the night before Kiwicon, so you can meet other hacker ladies in a quieter, less crazy space than the main 'con. This year ... Build your own robot overlord! We all know that interstellar lizards in people suits run this country, but what about the next set of overlords? With all this big tech talk about artificial intelligence and machine learning, the robot uprising is bound to happen sooner or later. So why not learn to code them now! Girl Geek Dinners this year is working with NodeBots NZ to put on a fun night of bot-building. At the end of the night, we will put them out to battle to see which robot is best fit to overthrow those alien lizard people. Food & drink will be provided; Kits & building/coding help will be brought by NodeBots NZ. BYO Laptop if you have one. We strongly encourage all people who identify as female to come along for some hands on geeky fun. Any questions - summon @sputina on twitter or sputina@gmail.com on email.
